Doctor
Steven Weiner is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of
Medicine/Rheumatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is in
the private practice of rheumatology and has his office in Woodland Hills, California. Dr. Weiner
has practiced rheumatology exclusively for the last twenty-eight
years.
Doctor Weiner teaches primarily at the UCLA-San Fernando Valley
Program, Rheumatology Division. He does clinical research studies
on rheumatic diseases and is a Fellow of the American College
of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology.
Doctor Weiner was the former Chief of Rheumatology at Olive View
Medical Center, and was a Phillip and Jane Williams Fellow of
Scleroderma Research. He is the author of over 100 abstracts,
articles, textbook chapters, and instructional tapes and videos.
His area of expertise is experimental therapeutics with special
attention to arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders.
Doctor Weiner has lectured locally, nationally and internationally
on a wide variety of topics in rheumatic disease. He has received
awards for teaching excellence, and most recently was honored
by the United Scleroderma Foundation in recognition of his research
in Scleroderma, and by the Arthritis Foundation for his teaching
program.
